BEES ARE ENDANGERED

One of the primaries of the website is to make an awareness of Bees being endangered. Not many people know that because of hard working Bees we can actually exist. It is them that we owe to the production of 1/3 of the food in the world. These useful insects pollinate as much as 77% plant species from which food products of plant origin are produced. Without the bees, humanity will perish.

That is why it is so important to help each of us so that these hardworking insects have a place to live. According to UN data, 84% out of 264 plant species cultivated in Europe, it requires pollination by insects, mainly bees, and only the latter pollinate 90% of these plants. The worker bee lives only 38 days in the summer and during this time it produces 1/12 teaspoon of honey. Since the dawn of history, beeswax and honey have been used in everyday life and in medicine. The oldest bee preserved in amber is a worker bee found in New Jersey. Its age is estimated at around 80 million years.

It is estimated that when the bees become extinct, humans will become extinct only 4 years after them. And the global bee population is constantly declining. Experts are alerting about the appearance of the Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), a disease syndrome causing the extinction of entire bee colonies. The decline in pollinating insects is already causing losses in the manufacturing and medical sectors, and has dire environmental consequences. These tiny insects make a huge contribution to the functioning of the entire ecosystem. 

Let's remember about these little insects and their great importance for our lives. Each of us can help them. It is enough not to mow the entire lawn in our garden, leaving them with a fragment of a flower meadow, to plant pollen-bearing or nectarous plants on the balcony, or to put an insect drinker on the windowsill.

It's so important to do something about it now so it's not too late.

We want also make sure that there are plenty of flowers and trees to be planted to native (wild) Bees as they need a lot of support too.
